PreviewDentist.com has been designed to give dental consumers easy access to information about participating dentists in their area so that they can choose the dentist that is right for them. We are committed to being the place that enables dental consumers to find the right dentist.

By using PreviewDentist.com patients seeking a new dentist will be able to gather information about a dental care provider through our Practice Profiles.

It's about seeing a practice with your own eyes, getting the information about a dental office and then being able to make an educated choice about where to go for dental care.

We do not refer consumers to any specific dentist; we simply present information provided by the dentist and display digital photos of the dental practice so that the consumer can get an idea of the look and feel of the practice.

GETTING STARTED

On the Home Page you have the choice of three search methods:

1. Search by Bay Area City: Simply use the pull down menu to select the city where you would like to find a dentist.

2. Quick Search: Choose this option if you already have a dentist in mind or if you already know some specific criteria that could narrow down your search. Simply enter key words and the search will pull up any participating dentist with these words in their profile.

3. Advanced Search: Choose this option and a screen appears with category choices such as type of dentist, desired amenities, and city. Check off all selections that apply to your search and hit search.

 

SEARCH RESULTS

Once you have specified the area and amenities (see Glossary for more information) and/or the dental care needs that are important to you, you will be given a list of search results. Each listed search result is a dental practice that meets your given criteria. Select the Dentist's name to view his/her Practice Profile. Each profile may include address, phone, insurance information, special services, affiliations, maps/directions, etc. Our goal is to provide you with all the information necessary to make an educated and informed dental care decision. The dental care provider provides all the information in this web site.

 

HOW TO VIEW THE PROFILE

The Practice Profiles begin on the Dentist Profile Page. This page displays a picture of the dentist, information about the dentist's background and personal philosophy and the office amenities offered.

To the left is a sidebar with buttons leading to pictures and information about Office Staff, Office View, Hours & Directions and Financial Matters with includes Insurance. Selecting one of these buttons will lead to the corresponding page of information for the particular dentist whose page you are currently viewing.

 

HOW TO VIEW PICTURES

Pictures in the Office View are in "thumbnail" format for fast uploading.

If you would like to take a closer look at a picture just click on the picture itself and it will expand to a larger view.

 

GLOSSARY OF AMENITIES

Stereo Headphones- relaxing music during treatment.

TV Viewing- television viewing during treatment or in reception area.

Nitrous Oxide- also known as "Laughing Gas"; allows you to relax and decrease feelings of fear and anxiety.

Virtual Viewing- allows the viewing of movies during treatment utilizing goggles.

Intra-oral Video Photography- tiny video camera to view specific areas of the mouth. Used as an educational device.

Cosmetic Dentistry- specifically emphasizes treatment to improve aesthetic look of the teeth.

Tooth Whitening-a process to lighten the color of teeth.

Sealants-plastic material bonded in the grooves and pits of back teeth for the prevention of decay.

Speed Bleaching-an in-office tooth whitening process to whiten teeth in one appointment.
